Our Story, Our Mission
Rooted in northern Manhattan since 2010, built by and for our community.
Agents for Change
Inwood Academy for Leadership empowers students to become agents for change through community-focused leadership, character development, and college preparedness.
We are a free public charter school serving 950+ scholars from kindergarten through 12th grade across Washington Heights and Inwood. Our academic program inspires intellectual curiosity and confidence, pairing the Core Knowledge program's rich content with deliberate skills development.
Every scholar studies the four core subjects — English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies — alongside Art, Spanish, Music, Writing, Physical Education, and Health.
